Week 2 - October 8, 2019

Welp!  Week 2 came faster than expected!

I feel like it was just yesterday I was sitting down at the computer writing my first email.  If the next 76 weeks go as fast as these last two weeks have, the next year and a half will be a breeze.  Haha I just know that is not going to happen at all.

This is what life is like at the MTC.  Wake up-EAT-go to class-EAT-go to more class-EAT SOME MORE-go to even more classes-retire to bed.  The days here are so busy, I don't even have anytime to think of anything other than missionary work, which has been such a blessing because it makes time fly by.  However, I feel like I am eating every two seconds...hopefully that doesn't continue in the mission field lol.

Wanna know something crazy?  I leave on Monday to go to Jacksonville.  So next week I will not have a p-day...so that means no weekly email.  I already know you guys are so sad that you won't get to hear from me for 2 weeks haha.  Just remember that I'm happy, and that I love all of you!

Conference...being a missionary made conference 100X better.  I think I took a total of 20 pages of notes.  As a missionary, Conference is like Christmas Morning...you just savor every moment of it.  I don't know about you guys but conference was so amazing.
Sister Cahoon and Sister Copeland watching Conference.

I felt that the speakers really talked about keeping the commandments, being aware of the adversary, and trusting in the Lord.  My favorite talk was Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk...we all came down here on this earth knowing that it would not be easy.  Therefore, we need to be continually striving to trust in the Lord and through following the commandments, and Christ's Atonement, we can eventually make it back to our Father in Heaven.  We have three very specific points that we must follow:   1. We need to choose to find and love God by keeping his commandments; 2. Only way to progress in your gospel adventure is to help others progress as well; 3. Take upon the name of Christ and not be ashamed of it.  I know that if we follow these three simple steps, we can make it back to our Father in Heaven.

I love you all so much...sorry for the super boring email.  There is just not a lot of things to say about the MTC life.
CTR and remember that you have a Savior who loves you... turn to him in prayer

Love, Sister Copeland
