Sister Copeland bore her testimony in Sacrament Meeting on September 15, 2019. Her message was about service and how excited she is to serve the Lord back in the place where the Copeland roots of the gospel began in the Georgia-Florida area--exactly where she will be going!
Sister Copeland's Great grandfather, James Needham Copeland, standing beside the home he and his 13 siblings were raised in located between Jacksonville, Florida, and Brunswick, Georgia. Her Great, great grandfather, George Fleming Copeland, walked 20 miles to Brunswick to hear the missionaries and was converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1900, which began the legacy of the members of his family, also, being converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Today, so many family members and friends came to wish Sister Copeland well for the next 18 months that she will be gone! We will deeply miss Lauren's contagious laugh and beautiful smile that just warms your heart every time you see her, but we know how much the people in the areas she serves will learn to love her, too!
